PPP Sets Up Merit-Based Process for AJK Election Tickets 2026
MUZAFFARABAD – (Web Desk) – PPP AJK election tickets 2026 will be awarded after face-to-face interviews. The Pakistan Peoples Party has called all ticket applicants to Zardari House in Islamabad on Saturday at 2pm sharp.
The meeting is being held by the party’s parliamentary board. Political adviser Syed Azzadar Hussain Shah confirmed that all applicants must appear on time before the board.
PPP first formed a 10-member parliamentary board on May 14 to review applications. The board was led by Faryal Talpur, who oversees AJK affairs for the party.
On Wednesday night, the party expanded the board to 17 members. Seven senior PPP leaders from across Pakistan were added to strengthen the selection process.
New members include central secretary general Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, and other senior party figures.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is personally monitoring the election preparations. He wants the ticket process to be fair, open, and based on merit.
Party leaders are confident about the results. They believe PPP will repeat its Gilgit-Baltistan performance and win a strong mandate in AJK.
