Govt Reduces Petrol by Rs1.70, Diesel by Rs3.12
New Petrol and Diesel Prices Take Effect From Wednesday
ISLAMABAD: (Finance Reporter) — The government has announced a reduction in the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), with the new rates taking effect from September 23.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs3.12 per litre, bringing it down to Rs418.96 per litre.
The price of petrol has also been cut by Rs1.70 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs392.05 per litre.
The revised prices will remain effective from September 23, 2026, according to the Petroleum Division.
Previously, the government had increased the price of petrol by Rs4.61 per litre, while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs1.96 per litre.
