Third Party Insurance Sindh Now Mandatory for All Vehicles

Big Jump in Third Party Insurance Sindh Cases, Says SECP

Sindh – (Web Desk) – Third party insurance Sindh registrations have jumped massively in just three months, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. The regulator shared this update in an official statement issued on Tuesday.

SECP revealed that the number of third-party insurance cases climbed from only 11,200 to a remarkable 165,064 within three months. This sharp rise shows growing compliance among vehicle owners across the province.

The Sindh government has already made this insurance compulsory for every registered vehicle in the province. Without it, vehicle owners cannot complete transfer of ownership, registration, or even pay their yearly token tax.

This policy also brings strong financial protection for accident victims. In case of death, the affected family will receive Rs700,000, while victims facing permanent disability will get Rs500,000. These payments fall under the no-fault compensation policy, ensuring quick support without lengthy legal procedures.

Pakistan witnesses around 9,000 to 10,000 road accidents every year, making this insurance plan extremely important for families who suffer sudden financial loss. Officials believe this step will offer much-needed relief during difficult times.

Sindh currently has about 2,600,000 registered vehicles, and authorities plan to bring all of them under insurance coverage in phases. This move is expected to strengthen road safety and financial security across the province.
