Pakistan Condemns Israel Syria Airbase Attack

Foreign Office Slams Israeli Strikes on Abu al-Duhur Base Near Aleppo

Islamabad – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) -Pakistan condemns Israel Syria attack, calling the strikes on Abu al-Duhur airbase a direct violation of international law. The Foreign Office issued a strong statement after Israeli occupation forces hit the base near Aleppo on Tuesday, close to the Turkish border.

The airstrikes came just as Syria appeared close to allowing Turkish troops to use the base. Israel says this move threatens its security and crosses a line it will not accept.

In its statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said such actions are provocative and unlawful. It warned that these strikes could further damage peace and stability in an already fragile region.

Pakistan also expressed full solidarity with Syria. The statement reaffirmed support for Syria’s sovereignty, its territorial integrity, and its right to peace and prosperity as a nation.

The Foreign Office urged the global community to take action. It called on world powers to hold Israel accountable for repeated violations and destabilising behaviour in the Middle East.

This latest strike adds to rising tension between Israel and Turkiye. Both countries have military forces active inside Syria, and their rhetoric has grown sharper in recent weeks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office spoke out late Tuesday. It claimed Syria was on the verge of breaking a quiet security understanding held with Israel.

According to Netanyahu’s office, letting Turkish troops deploy at the airbase would directly threaten Israeli security. The statement made clear that Israel would not tolerate such a move.

Turkey’s presidency fired back quickly. It accused Netanyahu of making false claims driven by his own political motives ahead of upcoming elections in Israel.

Ankara said real peace in the region can only happen if Israel respects international law. It also called on Israel to abandon what it described as aggressive and coercive policies.

Turkiye holds NATO’s second-largest military force. It has become one of the closest allies of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa since his new administration took shape.

Turkish officials have long accused Israel of trying to weaken Syria’s new government. They argue Israel wants to keep Syria unstable rather than let it rebuild under new leadership.

Ankara has repeatedly asked the international community to pressure Israel. It wants stronger measures taken to force Israel to respect Syria’s borders and independence.

Meanwhile, the United States is trying to ease tensions between all three nations. Tom Barrack, the US special envoy for Syria and Iraq, shared new details with reporters.

Barrack said Washington is working on a deconfliction plan. This mechanism would involve Israel, Turkiye, and Syria to help avoid future military clashes between them.

He also confirmed that the US already runs an active dialogue channel. This system allows information sharing between the three countries to reduce miscommunication and conflict risk.

The situation remains tense as diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes. Regional watchers say another wrong move could quickly escalate matters between Israel and Turkiye.

For now, Pakistan’s position stays firm and clear. Islamabad stands with Syria’s sovereignty while pushing for global accountability against Israel’s continued military actions in the region.

As tensions rise, all eyes remain on how Israel, Turkiye, and Syria manage this fragile situation. The coming days could prove critical for regional peace efforts.
