Pakistan Shooters Shine at F-Class World Championship in Bisley
BISLEY: (Sports Desk) – Pakistan’s rifle team delivered a remarkable performance at the seventh F-Class World Championship 2026, securing the individual world title and finishing as runners-up in the team competition.
The 12-member Pakistani contingent collected an impressive haul of four gold, four silver and five bronze medals across the individual events. Pakistan also recorded the highest medal tally in the FTR category.
The standout performer was Junaid Ali, who was crowned the individual FTR world champion after competing against a field of 207 elite long-range shooters representing 24 countries. He finished the championship with three gold medals, one silver and one bronze, underlining his dominance across the individual events.
Junaid’s individual FTR world title is being hailed as a landmark achievement for Pakistan in international F-Class shooting.
Muhammad Waleed also contributed significantly to Pakistan’s medal tally, winning one gold and one bronze. In the Under-25 category, Huzaifa Gul secured three silver and two bronze medals, while Ahsan Gul added a bronze.
Seven Pakistani shooters — Ahsan Gulrez, Junaid Ali, Muhammad Waleed, Ubaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gul and Junaid Waqar — finished among the championship’s top 100 competitors.
The individual events were contested over distances of 800, 900 and 1,000 yards on August 12 and 13. The FTR team competition followed on August 15 and 16.
The team event featured representatives from 11 countries, including several former world and European champions. Pakistan produced a strong showing throughout the competition and secured the silver medal after a closely contested battle.
Led by Ahsan Gulrez, the Pakistani team held its own against some of the world’s leading long-range shooting nations, earning a notable runners-up finish.
Pakistan’s latest success further strengthens its position in international F-Class shooting. Despite establishing a presence in the discipline only around three years ago, Pakistani shooters have quickly made an impact on the global stage, showcasing their growing experience, accuracy and competitive strength.
