Pakistan Announces Packed Cricket Schedule With England, Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD: (Sports Reporter) – Pakistan is set for a busy home international season as Sri Lanka and England arrive for a packed schedule running from October 9 to November 21, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced.

The programme will feature a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, a seven-match ODI tri-series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka and England, and a two-Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka as part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.

Sri Lanka will arrive in Pakistan on October 4, with the tour beginning with three T20Is at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The matches are scheduled for October 9, 11 and 13.

England will then join the hosts and Sri Lanka for the ODI tri-series, which will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from October 18 to 31.

Pakistan will open the tri-series against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 18, before facing England at the same venue on October 20. Sri Lanka and England will meet in the third match on October 22.

The action will then shift to Lahore. Pakistan will take on England at Gaddafi Stadium on October 25, followed by a meeting with Sri Lanka on October 27. Sri Lanka and England will complete the league phase in Lahore on October 29.

The top two teams will advance to the final, which is scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.

After the ODI tournament, Sri Lanka will play a three-day warm-up fixture in Islamabad from November 4 to 6 before beginning the two-Test series against Pakistan.

The opening Test will be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 9 to 13, while the second Test is scheduled for Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from November 17 to 21.

The Test series will form part of the ongoing World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle and will represent Pakistan’s second home Test assignment of the campaign. South Africa previously toured Pakistan for a two-Test series in October last year.

Pakistan is also set to host an ODI tri-series for the second consecutive year. Last year, Pakistan welcomed New Zealand and South Africa for a three-team ODI tournament ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
