Pakistan Forces Eliminate Sixteen Militants During Major Bannu Operation
BANNU: (Web Desk) – A joint operation carried out by the Pakistan Army police and the Counter Terrorism Department in Bannu led to the killing of 16 militants including two senior commanders, according to reports released on Sunday.
During the intense exchange of fire two police officers identified as Constable Waheedullah Khan and Constable Noorullah Khan embraced martyrdom while performing their duties.
Security officials stated that the operation targeted militant hideouts in the region as part of continued efforts to curb militant activity and strengthen security in the area.
Authorities confirmed that several militant compounds and operational bases were destroyed during the action.
Among the militants killed were senior commanders Zamri Noor and Abdullah Saeed. Officials described Zamri Noor as a key militant figure allegedly involved in spreading fear and instability in the region.

The operation also resulted in casualties among law enforcement personnel due to heavy resistance from militants during the raid.
Funeral prayers for the martyred officers were offered at Police Lines Bannu with full official honours.
Senior civil and military officials local elders and a large number of residents attended the ceremony and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the fallen policemen.
Security agencies reaffirmed that joint intelligence based operations against militant groups would continue as part of broader national efforts to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace in the region.
