Punjab Government Extends Ban on Prisoner Visits at Adiala Jail
The Punjab government has further prolonged the ban on visits to prisoners at Adiala Jail due to ongoing security concerns. This extension affects both political prisoners and regular inmates, as confirmed by officials.
Originally enacted on October 4, the ban was supposed to last until October 18. However, on that date, the government announced an additional two-day extension, meaning the restrictions will now remain in effect at least until October 20.
This decision aims to maintain security within the facility, with authorities closely monitoring the situation before determining whether to extend the ban further.
The restrictions encompass all types of visits, including those from family members and legal consultations.
