Indonesia Offers Support for Pakistan’s Economic Stability
As a G20 member, Indonesia shares experiences to aid Pakistan in achieving economic progress.

Pakistan and Indonesia, both members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), have reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, and mutual interest sectors, aided by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). This development represents a significant advancement in the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
The recent Trade Expo Indonesia served as a platform to promote bilateral cooperation, featuring a Pakistani trade delegation. During the event, business-to-business agreements and memoranda of understanding worth $10.70 million were signed between Pakistani and Indonesian entities.
These agreements encompass a diverse range of products and sectors, including copra, gum, copal, cocoa, dried coconut, ginger, and spices, as well as agreements in the consumer goods and auto parts industries. The accords highlight the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including private companies, business organizations, and government institutions.
Tego Viveko, Indonesia’s Acting Consul General, commended the participation of the Pakistani delegation, calling it a vital step toward strengthening economic and trade relations, particularly with the business community in Sindh province.
Abid Nisar, Chairman of the Pakistan Indonesia Business Council, expressed optimism about the strengthening economic ties between the two countries, stating, “The roots of our relationship are deeply connected to history and culture. These memoranda of understanding will foster mutual economic benefits and prosperity for both nations.”
As a G20 member, Indonesia has also offered to share its experiences to assist Pakistan in achieving economic stability.
The SIFC’s role in facilitating these economic initiatives between Pakistan and Indonesia is expected to play a crucial part in bolstering Pakistan’s economy.
