7-Day Special Polio Vaccination Drive to Begin Across Balochistan from July 13

Nearly 2,700 polio teams will participate in the campaign across Quetta

QUETTA: (Our Correspondent) – A seven-day special anti-polio vaccination campaign will begin across Balochistan on Monday (July 13), with health authorities deploying thousands of vaccination teams to immunize children against the crippling disease.

According to officials, nearly 2,700 polio teams will participate in the campaign across Quetta, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, and Barshore, administering life-saving polio drops to eligible children.

Balochistan Polio Coordinator Inam-ul-Haq urged parents and communities to fully cooperate with vaccination teams, emphasizing that eradicating polio is a shared national responsibility.

He said the success of the campaign depends on the collective efforts of government institutions, healthcare workers, community leaders, and families, adding that every child must be vaccinated to protect them from the lifelong effects of the virus.

The provincial health authorities have appealed to parents to ensure that their children receive the polio vaccine during the week-long drive, reaffirming the government’s commitment to making Balochistan and Pakistan polio-free.
