US Rejects Iran Proposal Amid Rising Tensions
Washington Calls Iran’s Latest Peace Proposal Insufficient For Agreement
WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – The United States has reportedly described Iran’s latest proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict as “insufficient,” raising concerns over the possibility of renewed military action if diplomatic progress remains stalled.
According to reports published by Axios, senior US officials believe Tehran’s new 14-point proposal offered only limited changes compared to earlier versions and failed to meet Washington’s expectations for a meaningful agreement.
Earlier, Reuters reported that Iran had conveyed the updated proposal to the United States through Pakistan. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that Tehran’s views had been delivered to the American side but did not disclose further details.
The latest developments come amid reports that US President Donald Trump is considering military options due to Iran’s refusal to fully accept American demands regarding its nuclear programme. US officials reportedly stated that Trump would meet his national security team to review the situation and discuss possible next steps.

According to reports, Washington is seeking more detailed commitments from Iran on limiting uranium enrichment and addressing its stockpile of highly enriched uranium. Officials reportedly warned that without significant diplomatic progress, tensions could escalate further.
Meanwhile, Iran has claimed that the US agreed to release part of Tehran’s frozen overseas funds and temporarily ease sanctions related to the country’s oil sector, though no official confirmation has been issued by Washington.
The negotiations are said to have entered a critical phase as both sides continue to exchange demands while attempting to avoid further regional escalation.
