TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held detailed discussions with Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in Tehran, according to reports by Press TV and Tehran Times. The meeting was part of a high-level visit aimed at strengthening political and security coordination between the two countries.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi received Field Marshal Asim Munir in Tehran, highlighting strong bilateral relations and reaffirming shared interests in regional peace and stability. In a message shared on X, Araghchi welcomed the visit and appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue, describing it as a reflection of deep ties between the two nations.
Iran Trusts Pakistan for Talks, Rejects US Role
Field Marshal Asim Munir arrived in Tehran leading a high-level political and security delegation. Iranian officials reiterated their commitment to continued cooperation with Pakistan on regional stability and mutual concerns.
Separately, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also commented on regional developments, emphasizing the importance of commitments in ceasefire agreements in Lebanon and referring to the broader role of regional actors in maintaining stability.
