Iran Trusts Pakistan for Talks, Rejects US Role

Negotiations will only be held in Pakistan, nowhere else, Enovy said.

Islamabad:(Web Desk) – Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has stated that any future negotiations will take place exclusively in Pakistan, expressing Tehran’s trust in Islamabad while rejecting reliance on the United States.

Speaking at the Pakistan Institute of Policy Studies, the ambassador said Iran considers the US an unreliable partner and has designated Pakistan as a neutral and trustworthy mediator.

Pakistan Praised by Russia for US Iran Mediation Role

“Negotiations will only be held in Pakistan, nowhere else. We trust Pakistan, not the United States,” he said, while also appreciating Pakistan’s diplomatic role and peace efforts in the region.

Reza Amiri Moghadam emphasized that Iran does not seek regional dominance but aims to safeguard its sovereignty. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and claimed no credible evidence has been presented to prove otherwise. He added that the International Atomic Energy Agency has also not confirmed any effort by Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

The envoy further noted that Iran has faced sustained pressure since the Iranian Revolution, enduring what he described as 47 years of pressure from the United States and allied forces, but asserted that such efforts have failed.

He also accused Israel of pursuing regional dominance with US backing, alleging that sudden attacks during negotiation phases have undermined diplomatic progress. Despite suffering human and financial losses, he said Iran remains united and resilient.
