Shehbaz Sharif Meets Qatar Emir Talks Peace Cooperation Relations

DOHA: (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, where both leaders held detailed discussions on the regional situation, peace, stability, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

In a statement shared on X, the prime minister described the meeting as cordial and productive, noting that both sides reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments in a constructive environment.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Qatar, agreeing to expand cooperation in key sectors including security, defense, and energy.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed solidarity with the people of Qatar and strongly condemned recent attacks targeting Qatar and other countries in the region. He termed the meeting highly positive and beneficial for future cooperation.

The prime minister further highlighted the warm reception accorded to him upon arrival, noting that his aircraft was escorted by Qatari fighter jets, reflecting the strong and historic ties between Pakistan and Gulf nations.

Earlier, upon entering Qatari airspace, the prime minister’s aircraft was received with a special escort by Qatari Air Force jets, in a gesture of respect and close bilateral relations. He thanked the Qatari leadership and pilots for the hospitality and honor extended during his visit.
