Rawalpindi Islamabad Rain Friday Forecast With Thunderstorm Warning

Rawalpindi & Islamabad – (Web Desk) – Rain is expected in Rawalpindi Islamabad rain Friday as the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy skies with chances of thunderstorm and windstorm.

Thursday’s rain already brought relief to residents. The temperature dropped to 34 degrees Celsius. PMD recorded 4mm rain at Katchury, 3mm at Chaklala, 2mm at Pirwadhai and Shamsabad, and 1mm at Kattarian in Rawalpindi. In Islamabad, 2mm fell at Zero Point and 1mm at Golra.

Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are moving into central and southern Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave is also approaching the central regions. A seasonal low pressure area remains active over north Balochistan.

Most parts of Pakistan will stay hot and dry. However, isolated rain with windstorm and thunderstorm is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south and northeast Punjab, northeast and south Balochistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly areas.

Residents of the twin cities are advised to stay alert for sudden weather changes.
