Zardari Visits Sanya to Boost Pakistan China Cooperation

Sanya (Web Desk) – President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday arrived in Sanya, a city in China’s Hainan province, after concluding his visit to Hunan province.

Upon arrival, he was received by Wang Qiyang, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hainan. China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong and Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou Sardar Muhammad were also present to welcome him.

According to a statement from the President Secretariat Media Wing, the visit reflects the continuity of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China and aims to further deepen bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

Sanya, a well-known international tourism destination, is also an important part of the Hainan Free Trade Port and serves as a growing hub for trade and economic activity.

Pakistan Calls for Maritime Security, Diplomacy at UN Security Council Debate

During the visit, President Zardari is expected to hold meetings with provincial leadership focused on expanding economic, trade, and strategic cooperation, along with advancing progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

He is also scheduled to attend the commissioning ceremony of the Pakistan Navy submarine “Hangor” in Sanya, marking a significant milestone in defence cooperation between Pakistan and China.
