Ishaq Dar Fuel Scheme Directs Simple, Accessible Registration Process

DPM Ishaq Dar orders simple registration and smooth petrol relief rollout for small vehicle owners

Pakistan – (Staff Resporter/Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a key meeting on Tuesday under the Ishaq Dar fuel scheme review, looking closely at how the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme is being managed across the country.

He told officials that the sign-up process must stay simple. His main point was clear: ordinary people should not struggle to get their share of the relief.

Dar asked the teams involved to reach out more to the public and make sure petrol pumps run the scheme without any hassle.

This review came just two days after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared the plan. Under it, bike riders, rickshaw drivers, and small car owners get Rs100 off on every litre of petrol.

Dar also asked lawmakers to spread the word in their own areas. He wants them to help people register with ease.

Young volunteers from the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme will also join in, helping citizens understand the steps and sign up without confusion.

The scheme is already live in Islamabad. Starting tonight, it will open up for the entire country.

To join, people just send a short message with their ID card number. A second code gets them a fuel token, which they can show at the pump for the discount.

Officials from IT, finance, and information ministries also joined the meeting, along with lawmakers from the capital.
