Justice Mansoor Ali Shah denies resignation rumours

ISLAMABAD: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has firmly denied the circulating rumours about his resignation. Speaking at a ceremony on children’s rights on Saturday, he addressed the media’s questions on the matter, calling the speculation “unfounded.”

When asked about the rumours, Justice Shah expressed his surprise, stating, “I do not know where you got this concern from; these are all speculations. We will not run away.” He assured the public that he would continue to work towards improving the judicial system, emphasizing that he would use his authority to bring about positive changes.

In his speech at the event, Justice Shah highlighted the importance of children’s rights, stressing that they are not only the future but also the present of society. “Children are a gift from Allah,” he remarked, emphasizing that the judiciary is deeply aware of their rights. He also spoke about his efforts to raise awareness among judges of the subordinate judiciary about the significance of delivering justice for children.
