Pakistan US Strengthen Counterterrorism Cooperation Through Strategic Dialogue

Washington: (Special Reporter) – Pakistan and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation against terrorism following the fourth round of the Pakistan-US Counter-Terrorism Dialogue held in Washington.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, officials from both countries discussed measures to strengthen border security, improve intelligence coordination and dismantle terrorist facilitation networks operating across the region.

The dialogue was co-chaired by the US Coordinator for Counterterrorism and Pakistan’s Special Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both sides reviewed ongoing counterterrorism efforts and explored ways to deepen collaboration in addressing evolving security challenges.

In a joint statement issued after the talks, Pakistan and the United States pledged to enhance cooperation in combating terrorism while promoting lasting peace, regional stability and shared prosperity.

The two countries also reaffirmed their resolve to continue coordinated action against terrorist organisations, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and al-Qaeda.
