Muzaffarabad: (Staff Reporter) – The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has formally released the notification of successful candidates from the second phase of the elections, covering nine constituencies in the Muzaffarabad Division along with 12 seats reserved for Kashmiri refugees.
According to the official results, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured five of the nine Muzaffarabad Division seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) captured the remaining four constituencies. In the reserved refugee seats, PML-N maintained a strong position by winning 10 seats, whereas PPP claimed victory on two seats.
Among the announced winners, Shah Ghulam Qadir of PML-N was declared successful from LA-25 Neelum-I, while Abdul Waheed of PPP won LA-26 Neelum-II. Noreen Arif (PML-N) secured LA-27, while Syed Bazil Naqvi and Sardar Mukhtar Ahmed Khan, both from PPP, won LA-28 and LA-29 respectively.
In the Kashmiri refugee constituencies, PML-N candidates dominated the results, with Mustafa Bashir Abbasi winning LA-30, Raja Saqib Majeed securing LA-31, and Raja Muhammad Farooq being declared victorious from LA-32.
PPP’s Diwan Ali Chughtai won LA-33, while PML-N candidates Nasir Hussain Dar, Chaudhry Ismail, and Mohsin Ahsan Raza were declared successful from LA-34, LA-35, and LA-36 respectively.
The Election Commission further notified Maryam Javed, Zeeshan Ali, and Raja Siddique as successful candidates from LA-37, LA-38, and LA-39, completing the announcement of winners for the second phase.
