Foreign National Rescued From Kidnappers, Eight Suspects Arrested in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: (Crime Reporter) – Islamabad Police have recovered a foreign national who was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint for a ransom of $100,000, while eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to police, the foreign national was abducted from Sector G-8 earlier in the day. The kidnappers allegedly demanded $100,000 for his safe release.
Taking notice of the incident, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza directed the formation of special teams under the supervision of SP City Muhammad Khurram Ashraf.

The police teams launched an intelligence-based operation with the help of technical resources and human intelligence. During a raid within the jurisdiction of Sihala Police Station, officers successfully recovered the abducted foreign national.
Police said the suspects had also allegedly robbed other staff members at gunpoint, taking cash, mobile phones and other valuables.
Three vehicles allegedly used in the crime, along with the stolen cash and mobile phones, were recovered from the arrested suspects.
Further investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident and identify any other individuals involved.
