IRAN OFFER FREE VISA’s – (Web Desk) – Iran has announced a special Iran visa fee waiver Pakistan travelers can use to attend the funeral and mourning ceremonies of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This is a limited-time offer valid for a 10-day visa period.
It is important to understand that this is not a visa-free entry. Pakistani nationals must still apply online and receive approval before starting their journey.
How to Apply
Pakistani travelers can apply through Iran’s official eVisa portal. During the application, select the Entry Visa category. Clearly mention that the purpose of your visit is to attend the funeral or mourning ceremonies of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Make sure all information you enter is accurate to avoid delays or rejection.
Required Documents
You will need to upload the following documents:
A copy of your CNIC. Proof of your job or student status such as an employment card, business card, or student ID. A clear passport-sized photo with a white background. A scanned copy of your passport’s main page. Your passport must be valid for at least six months.
Important Travel Tips
Do not buy your airline ticket before your visa is approved. Some reports suggest that travel or medical insurance may still be required separately, so extra charges may apply even with the fee waiver.
The Taftan land border situation is still unclear. This facility is mainly for air travelers at this stage.
Avoid Any Agents
Pakistani applicants are strongly advised to use only the official Iranian eVisa portal. Avoid any agent claiming to offer guaranteed or instant visa approvals.
Pakistan Delegation Also Attending
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has confirmed that Pakistan will send an official delegation to the funeral. Iran expects around one million Pakistani mourners to attend the ceremonies, which will be held in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad between July 4 and July 9, 2026.
Verify Before You Travel
Since the Iranian government has not published all special requirements publicly, applicants should contact the Iranian Embassy or consulate in Pakistan to confirm the exact documents needed before applying.
