BRICS Rejects Forced Displacement of Palestinians, Urges Gaza Ceasefire

NEW DELHI: (News Desk) – BRICS countries have firmly rejected any attempt to forcibly displace Palestinians and voiced deep concern over escalating tensions in the Middle East, according to a joint declaration.

The member states urged all sides to show maximum restraint and avoid steps that could further aggravate the already volatile situation in the region.

The declaration stressed that outstanding disputes should be settled through dialogue, negotiations and peaceful diplomatic means rather than confrontation.

BRICS members also reaffirmed their commitment to respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.

The grouping expressed serious concern over attacks targeting peaceful nuclear facilities, warning against actions that could create further instability.

The member states called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and renewed their support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

They also backed reforms to the United Nations Security Council, calling for changes to make the body more representative.

BRICS reiterated that the forced displacement of Palestinians was unacceptable and must not be allowed.

The member states also announced their full backing for China’s presidency of BRICS in 2027.
