Roshan Digital Accounts cross 966,000 as deposits exceed $13.9 billion
Overseas Pakistanis Open 966,144 Roshan Digital Accounts by August 2026
ISLAMABAD: (Finance Reporter) -The number of Roshan Digital Accounts (RDAs) opened by overseas Pakistanis has reached 966,144, with total deposits surpassing $13.9 billion by August 2026, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday.
According to the SBP figures, overseas Pakistanis opened 9,354 new Roshan Digital Accounts in August, taking the overall number of accounts to 966,144. Deposits during the month amounted to $259 million.
The cumulative inflow into RDAs has now crossed $13.9 billion, while withdrawals stood at $2.13 billion after $1.2 million was withdrawn during August.

The data showed that $164 million deposited through Roshan Digital Accounts was utilised within Pakistan during August, taking the cumulative amount used locally to $8.7 billion.
The State Bank said around $3 billion remained deposited in Roshan Digital Accounts as of August 2026.
Investment activity through the accounts also remained strong. Overseas Pakistanis invested $716 million in Naya Pakistan Conventional Certificates and $1.332 billion in Naya Pakistan Islamic Certificates. A further $166 million was invested through Roshan Equity Investment.
According to the SBP data, more than $2.2 billion has been invested through Roshan Digital Accounts over the past six years, reflecting continued participation by overseas Pakistanis in Pakistan’s financial and investment markets.
