Gold Price in Pakistan Today Per Tola Drops by Rs3,600
Pakistan: Gold price in Pakistan today per tola has dropped once again, moving in step with the international bullion market. According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), one tola of gold is now trading at Rs421,836 after losing Rs3,600 during Friday’s trading session.
The drop comes just a day after gold had shown a slight rise. On Thursday, the price per tola touched Rs425,436, up by a modest Rs400. That gain, however, did not last long, as global pressure pulled prices back down on Friday.
Ten-gram gold followed the same downward path. It was sold at Rs361,656 after shedding Rs3,086 compared to the previous rate. This steady decline reflects how closely Pakistan’s local gold market tracks international price movements, especially when global rates shift quickly.
Speaking of the global market, the international rate of gold fell by $36, bringing it down to $3,994 per ounce. This figure includes a premium of $20, which is added on top of the base international rate. When international prices drop, local dealers usually adjust their rates within hours, which is exactly what happened this time.
Silver prices also felt the impact of the broader market slowdown. The price of silver decreased by Rs126, settling at Rs6,029 per tola. While the drop in silver was smaller in scale compared to gold, it still points to a wider trend of falling precious metal prices this week.
Market watchers say that gold prices in Pakistan often move based on a mix of factors. These include the value of the US dollar, global economic uncertainty, and decisions made by central banks around the world. When the dollar strengthens, gold usually becomes more expensive to buy in other currencies, which can lower demand and push prices down.
For everyday buyers in Pakistan, these daily changes matter a lot. Many families track gold rates closely, especially during wedding seasons or when planning to invest in jewellery. A drop of a few thousand rupees per tola can make a noticeable difference for someone planning a major purchase.
Jewellers across major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, have already updated their rates to reflect this latest change. Buyers are advised to check with local dealers before making any purchase, since rates can shift again within the same day depending on international trends.
As global markets stay unpredictable, experts suggest that gold prices may continue to fluctuate in the coming days. Anyone looking to buy or sell gold should keep an eye on daily updates from trusted sources like APGJSA to make informed decisions.
For now, the gold price in Pakistan today per tola stands at Rs421,836, giving buyers a slightly more affordable entry point compared to Thursday’s rate.
