FIA Investigates AI-Generated Fake Content Involving Maryam Nawaz, UAE President
Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiated a probe into the circulation of AI-generated images and videos featuring Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the President of the UAE. The FIA’s Cybercrime Wing is investigating the issue, following the identification of 10 social media accounts suspected of spreading fake content aimed at promoting negative propaganda.
Sources reveal that these accounts were used to upload manipulated visuals, including videos and images, in an attempt to mislead the public. The FIA officials have confirmed that the investigation was launched after receiving reports highlighting the issue, and scrutiny of the identified accounts is currently underway.

The FIA has vowed to take strict action against individuals or groups responsible for creating and distributing such fabricated content, as part of efforts to curb the spread of misinformation on social media platforms. The investigation is ongoing, and the agency has pledged to ensure accountability in relation to this emerging cybercrime.
