Pakistan, Türkiye Reaffirm Strong Ties During Ministerial Conversation

The foreign ministers welcomed the recent understandings reached between the United States and Iran and exchanged views on the planned signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, scheduled for June 19, 2026.
During the discussion, both leaders emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in promoting regional peace, stability, and cooperation. They expressed hope that the agreement would contribute positively to the broader security environment in the region.

Ishaq Dar and Hakan Fidan also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers’ meeting, expected to take place later this month. The meeting is anticipated to focus on regional cooperation and shared strategic interests.
The two ministers further discussed Pakistan–Türkiye bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation across various sectors. They underscored the longstanding brotherly relationship between the two countries and expressed satisfaction with the growing partnership.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues while continuing efforts to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Ankara.
The conversation reflected the strong strategic relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye and their shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and enhanced cooperation.
