Interior Ministry Approves Rangers Deployment Across Islamabad, Punjab
Rangers Authorized to Support Police Against Violent Threats and Mobs
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) -The Ministry of Interior has approved the deployment of Rangers in Islamabad and various districts of Punjab to assist authorities in maintaining law and order.
The approval was granted following requests from the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad and the Government of Punjab. The Interior Ministry has also authorized the provision of full support to Rangers personnel in the exercise of their legal powers.
According to a notification issued in this regard, Rangers and police have been directed to take appropriate and necessary action against attacks by disruptive elements and armed mobs.
The notification further instructs the security forces to take comprehensive measures to prevent and counter any violent activity or potential threat.
Rangers personnel will perform all necessary duties assigned to them to support law-enforcement agencies, maintain public order and ensure the security of citizens and sensitive installations.
