Sources said the suspect’s brother, Riaz, had already been arrested in the same case.

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought complete details regarding the alleged cocaine dealer Anmol alias Pinky, including her network and all cases registered against her.

Following the arrest of the alleged drug dealer, the Punjab government and police have expanded the scope of the investigation into what is being described as one of Pakistan’s biggest alleged cocaine trafficking networks.

According to details, the chief minister has taken notice of the high-profile case and directed relevant authorities to submit a comprehensive report.

She has ordered officials to provide full details about Anmol alias Pinky’s network, criminal cases registered against her, and the circumstances surrounding her arrest in an effort to expose all individuals linked to the alleged operation.

Meanwhile, Lahore’s Crime Control Department (CCD) has formally launched an investigation into a case registered against the suspect in Lahore. Authorities are preparing to shift the accused to Lahore for further interrogation to uncover facts related to the case.

Sources said the suspect’s brother, Riaz, had already been arrested in the same case. However, investigators are now probing why Pinky had not been declared a proclaimed offender earlier.

The case took another important turn after the suspect’s former husband and former police inspector Rana Ikram was also summoned for questioning.

The CCD will investigate Rana Ikram regarding the suspect’s alleged illegal activities and possible facilitation.

Police officials say the alleged network has links across several cities, adding that investigations are not only focused on drug supply operations but also on influential individuals who may have provided protection to the network.
