Amanda Seyfried’s Resurfaced Interview Sparks Elizabeth Holmes Role Speculation
Elizabeth Holmes Documentary Puts Amanda Seyfried’s Earlier Comments Back in Focus
New York: (Showbiz Desk) – Amanda Seyfried’s comments in a resurfaced 2025 interview have attracted renewed attention after the actor appeared to hint at revisiting her portrayal of disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.
During the interview with CBS, Seyfried was asked to improvise as Holmes. She responded, “I’ve had some practice lately,” a remark that has taken on new significance following her involvement in You Can See Everything, an A24 documentary revisiting the final days before Holmes began serving her prison sentence.
Directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, the documentary follows Holmes during the 34 days leading up to her imprisonment. Seyfried appears in the film, reenacting conversations and moments associated with Holmes’ life.
Seyfried previously portrayed Holmes in Hulu’s limited series The Dropout, earning widespread attention for her transformation into the former technology entrepreneur.
Holmes faced intense public scrutiny after Theranos, the blood-testing company she founded, collapsed amid revelations that its technology failed to perform as advertised. She was subsequently convicted of fraud involving misleading investors and sentenced to prison.
