Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 Opens Doors to Global Investors Worldwide

Islamabad will host leaders, miners and financiers on November 12–13 to turn talks into real mining deals.

Pakistan – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 will be held on November 12–13 at the Jinnah Convention Centre. It will bring together policymakers, mining executives, investors, banks and technical experts.

The Government of Pakistan is organising the event, and the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has endorsed it. Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) is the founding partner.

This year, the forum aims to turn talks into real investment, partnerships and projects. It will cover mineral exploration, processing and sustainable mining.

Several big names are supporting the event as strategic partners. These include PPL, Mari Energies, GHPL, Reko Diq Mining Company, PMPL and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). Wood Mackenzie is the lead conference producer, while Milbank, White & Case and Lazard are knowledge partners.

OGDC chief Ahmed Hayat Lak, who is also President of the forum, said Pakistan has a large mineral base and investment-friendly policies. He added that OGDC already holds a stake in the Reko Diq project and wants to grow its role in mining with global partners.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are among the key speakers. Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik will give the welcome address on day one.

International guests include John L. Thornton of Barrick Mining Corporation and Robert Friedland of Ivanhoe Mines. Speakers from the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank Group and Çalık Group will also take part.

The sessions will look at critical minerals, the energy transition, early-stage exploration funding, workforce skills and women in mining. Talks will also cover infrastructure, export routes and environmental concerns.

A technical conference will present more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. An international exhibition will also feature a Mineral Expo, project showcases and a European Pavilion.

Last year’s forum drew 5,000 delegates from over 50 countries. It also saw 16 agreements and memoranda of understanding signed. This year’s event hopes to build on that success.
