Pakistan Condemns Houthi Attack on Saudi Arabia

UN – (Special Correspondent/Web Desk) – Pakistan condemns Houthi attack on Saudi Arabia in strong words, saying it stands fully with the Kingdom against any threat to its security. The statement came after Saudi forces stopped ballistic missiles fired by Houthi fighters from Yemen toward the southern region of the country.

Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Usman Jadoon, raised this issue during an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council. The meeting was called to talk about the growing tension in Yemen.

Jadoon UN Security Council Yemen remarks made clear that Islamabad respects Yemen’s independence and unity. He said Pakistan follows the UN Charter and international law when it comes to matters of sovereignty and territorial rights.

The missile attack happened on Monday. Saudi Arabia said its coalition forces caught and destroyed the missiles before they could cause harm. A spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition shared this update on social media, calling the Houthi group a terrorist militia.

Pakistan Saudi Arabia solidarity Houthi ties were highlighted strongly in Jadoon’s speech. He asked all sides involved in the Yemen conflict to choose peace talks over fighting. He said dialogue and diplomacy are the only real paths forward.

The ambassador also pointed to a prisoner exchange deal made earlier this year. He said this agreement proved that talking things out can bring real results, even when situations are tough. He urged everyone to use that success as a starting point for a lasting ceasefire.

Yemen has faced years of war, and its people have suffered greatly. Jadoon spoke about the hardships civilians face daily, including hunger, displacement, and broken public services. He warned that more fighting would only make life harder for ordinary Yemenis.

Pakistan also spoke out against the detention of UN workers and diplomats by Houthi forces. The ambassador called this action unlawful and demanded the immediate release of all those held. He also asked for full protection of UN buildings, staff, and property.

Ambassador Jadoon closed his speech by restating Pakistan’s dedication to peace across the region. He said Islamabad will always support honest efforts toward dialogue, stability, and a peaceful end to conflicts, based on international law.
