Saif Ali Khan urges Ibrahim to earn own fame

Saif Ali Khan advises Ibrahim to build career independently

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan has urged his son Ibrahim Ali Khan to carve out his own identity in the film industry.

Saif Ali Khan shared his thoughts during an interview on his sister Soha Ali Khan’s YouTube channel, where he also addressed the topic of nepotism in Bollywood.

Commenting on the issue, Saif highlighted the contrast between “lucky” individuals with connections and unknown talent who struggle to get noticed. He said the audience is often more impressed by actors who emerge from modest or non-famous backgrounds and succeed on their own merit.

He added that it is unfair for actors to gain opportunities solely because of their parents. “If you get a job and do it well, the public will like it. But if you fail repeatedly despite chances, that is wrong,” he explained.

Saif further remarked, “I will fully support my children, but to a certain extent. I tell Ibrahim that I cannot stand by you all the time because you have already got a lot. Now you have to create your own place.”

It is worth noting that Ibrahim Ali Khan made his debut in Nadaaniyaan, but both the film and his performance received a lukewarm response. His second film, Sarzameen, also failed to make an impact at the box office.
