Raptors Triumph In Pak-China Friendship Cup Basketball Match

ISLSMABAD: (Web Desk) – Islamabad Raptors secured victory in an exhibition basketball match after defeating a Chinese club in a thrilling contest held at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.

The match was organized by the Federal Basketball Association in collaboration with the Pakistan Sports Board to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

In the closely contested encounter, Islamabad Raptors edged past the visiting Chinese club with a 19–16 score after a competitive game that kept spectators engaged throughout.

Officials from the Embassy of China in Pakistan attended the event along with prominent sports administrators including Imtiaz Rafi Butt, senior vice president of the Pakistan Basketball Federation, Oj-e-Zahoor, Nasrullah Rana, Sirajul Haq Qureshi, and Malik Riaz.

On the occasion, Liu Yonggang highlighted that the ongoing Pak-China Friendship Cup Basketball Championship not only showcased competitive games but also symbolized the deep friendship and sporting spirit between the two nations.

Meanwhile, in the women’s quarterfinals of the championship, WAPDA Black defeated Lycans B by 21–9 points. Army Red overcame Army White with a 28–22 victory.

In another match, LCWU Eagles Club narrowly defeated Royal Club by 25–24 points, while Garrisonians beat Lycans C 21–11 to secure a place in the semifinals.
