Apple reportedly splitting iPhone 18 launch schedule

iPhone 18 Pro to launch 2026, base model delayed

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Apple’s next-generation iPhone 18 series and Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup are generating intense buzz online, with leaks and rumours fueling speculation.

According to recent reports, Apple may split the launch of its iPhone 18 lineup into two separate events. Sources suggest the iPhone 18 Pro will debut in fall 2026, while the base iPhone 18 is expected to launch only in spring 2027.

Leaked Details Reveal Apple’s Upcoming iPhone Fold Design and Camera Setup

PhoneArena reported that the staggered release is aimed at optimising production, prioritising premium models, and boosting revenue, while easing supply chain challenges linked to the upcoming iPhone Fold. Only the iPhone 18 Pro is confirmed for 2026, with the standard iPhone 18 set for early 2027.

Apple is also developing a redesigned iPhone Air, although its launch date remains undisclosed. To navigate ongoing chip shortages and supply constraints, the company is expanding its network of suppliers and holding regular meetings at Apple Park to ensure smooth production throughout 2026. The split launch is also expected to prevent price increases for the upcoming iPhones.
