You Come to Lahore, We Will Wait; Tarar Responds to KP CM’s Ultimatum

Federal Minister Slams KP CM for Disregarding Pashtoon Traditions and Culture

Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal)-Federal Minister of Information Atta Tarar has responded to the ultimatum given by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, to the federal government. Tarar said, “You come to Lahore, we will wait.” This bold statement comes after Gandapur’s recent challenge to the federal government, which Tarar sees as a sign of weakness and hypocrisy.

Tarar criticized Gandapur for disregarding Pashtoon traditions and culture, which emphasize respect for women and elders. He said that Gandapur’s challenge to a woman political leader, Maryam Nawaz, shows his short stature and lack of courage. Tarar questioned Gandapur’s ability to eradicate terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, citing his own fear of terrorists and criminals in the province.

The minister also criticized Gandapur’s abusive language and threats against journalists, saying that the government would stand by the media if they took action against the PTI leaders. Tarar highlighted the PTI’s lack of development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during their 12-year tenure and accused them of corruption and hypocrisy.

Tarar said that the PTI leadership had even written a letter to the International Monetary Fund to push the country towards default. He said that the politics of hypocrisy and double standards was the hallmark of the PTI leadership. Tarar reminded Gandapur that he still had time to mend his ways and serve the people of the province.

The minister also announced that a weekly program would be launched to expose fake news. He castigated the PTI’s social media activists, saying that no revolution could be brought just by keyboard warriors. Tarar said that the opposition was playing its role in the Parliament as the constitutional democratic system was fully functional in the country.

He challenged the PTI leaders to come back and face the cases against them. Tarar said that most of the PTI leaders were opportunists who did not even spare national institutions. The minister strongly condemned the threats hurled at the journalist community and derogatory remarks against woman media persons during the PTI rally.

Tarar said that since assuming charge as Minister for Information and Broadcasting, he had never stopped advertisements of any news channels, as it resulted in a delay of salaries to employees. He asked the media to adopt a resolution against the PTI at the National Press Club. He assured the media persons that the government would stand by them if they took any action against the PTI leaders for using abusive language.

In conclusion, Federal Minister of Information Atta Tarar’s response to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s ultimatum is a bold statement that shows the federal government’s commitment to standing up against harassment and intimidation. The PTI’s lack of development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and their corruption and hypocrisy will not be tolerated. The government will ensure that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa receive the services they deserve.
