Neelum's Development Hinges on Better Road Infrastructure,
Neelum-Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq emphasized the importance of quality construction of the Neelum Highway for the region’s development and progress. Addressing a reception at Phulwai and Sardari, he stressed that better road infrastructure is crucial for promoting tourism and creating local employment opportunities.
The PM revealed that funds for the Neelum Highway’s construction were arranged by reallocating development funds from other constituencies. He assured that Neelum has received additional funds compared to other areas of the state to improve the lives of its people.
PM Haq expressed concern over the poor construction of the main highway and issued a 15-day ultimatum to stakeholders to ensure quality construction. He vowed no compromise on quality and warned against corruption and misuse of public money.
The PM also discussed plans to upgrade educational institutions, address teacher shortages, and improve road infrastructure to facilitate travel from Muzaffarabad to Neelum.
Senior officials, including President Muslim League-N Azad Kashmir Shah Ghulam Qadir and Senior Minister Colonel (Rtd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, were present at the event.

Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq addressed a gratitude rally in Helmat, Azad Kashmir, where he announced several development projects for the region. These include the appointment of a gynecologist for RHC Helmat, construction of a 10 km paved road to Taubit, and the provision of large quantities of food and medicine before November 20.
The PM expressed gratitude to the citizens for their trust in the state rulers and vowed to use his power for their welfare. He acknowledged the role of GOC Major General Muhammad Irfan in approving the RHC and praised the Pakistan Army’s efforts in the region.
PM Haq emphasized the importance of quality road construction in solving Neelam’s problems and announced a targeted subsidy policy to ensure resources for development. He also mentioned the registration of Zakat beneficiaries and the revival of hope for the young generation through merit-based recruitment.
The PM’s visit was welcomed by the people of Helmat, who praised his commitment to their development. He assured them that their public representatives would work for their collective progress.
