Seven Killed In Deadly Clash Over Old Enmity

DADU:(Web Desk)  At least seven people were killed in an armed clash between two rival groups in Dadu district on Sunday, with police attributing the violence to a longstanding dispute.

Police said the confrontation took place in Danu Chandio village, where members of the two opposing groups exchanged fire.

The victims belonged to both sides of the conflict. Their bodies were transported to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examinations, officials said.

The situation remained tense following the incident, prompting authorities to deploy additional police personnel to the area to prevent further violence and maintain law and order.

Taking notice of the deadly clash, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah sought a detailed report from Inspector General of Police Sindh.

The chief minister directed police to arrest those responsible immediately and stressed that action must be taken impartially against everyone involved in the incident.

Murad Ali Shah expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and extended his condolences to the families of the victims.

He said no individual or group could be permitted to take the law into their own hands. The chief minister instructed the IG Sindh to conduct a comprehensive investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

He further ordered authorities to closely monitor the security situation in the affected village and take steps to ease tensions between the rival groups.
