LONDON: (Sports Desk) – England have set Pakistan a target of 389 runs to win the second Test of the three-match series at Lord’s.

England resumed their second innings on the third day at 177-7 but were eventually bowled out for 208, giving Pakistan a challenging target.

Dan Lawrence top-scored for England with 54, while Harry Brook contributed 34.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas was the standout bowler, claiming five wickets in England’s second innings. Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shahzad took two wickets each.

Abbas had already taken four wickets in England’s first innings, taking his match tally to an impressive nine wickets.

England had earlier been dismissed for 290 in their first innings. Pakistan struggled in reply, losing all their wickets for just 110 runs, handing England a substantial first-innings advantage.

Pakistan now face a demanding fourth-innings chase of 389 runs if they are to level the contest and keep their hopes alive in the second Test.
