Gold Prices Drop Rs15,100 Per Tola Amid Global Market Decline

KARACHI: (Finance Reporter) — Gold prices in Pakistan declined sharply on Saturday, following a drop in international bullion rates.

According to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell by Rs15,100 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs467,936.

The price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs12,946, settling at Rs401,179.

Gold prices had remained unchanged in Pakistan on Friday, while the international market subsequently recorded a significant decline.

The international price of gold fell by $151, reaching $4,454 per ounce, including a $20 premium, according to the reported market rates.

Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market. The price of silver declined by Rs397 per tola, reaching Rs7,112.

The latest movement in local bullion prices follows the downward trend in international gold markets, with domestic rates adjusting accordingly.
