SCO Sponsors Young Kickboxer Zaroon Awan for World Cup”
Muzaffarabad-The Special Communications Organization (SCO) has sponsored 12-year-old kickboxer Zaroon Awan from Azad Kashmir to represent Pakistan in the Kickboxing World Cup in Uzbekistan. Director General SCO, Major General Umar Ahmed Shah, presented the sponsorship check to Zaroon’s father, Muheed Awan, at a ceremony held at the SCO headquarters.
Zaroon Awan will compete in the World Cup from September 24 to 29, and Major General Umar Ahmed Shah wished him the best of luck and prayed for his success. The Director General SCO emphasized the importance of nurturing talent in the youth of Azad Kashmir, stating, “There is great talent in the youth of Azad Kashmir, and I am happy that we are encouraging them in various fields, including telecommunication, sports, culture, youth education, and tourism.”
Muheed Awan, Secretary General of the Azad Kashmir Kickboxing Association and Zaroon’s father, shared that his son has been training in kickboxing for six years and was selected for the World Cup after winning a gold medal in Azad Kashmir. He expressed gratitude to the Director General SCO for the sponsorship and extended his best wishes to the institution.
