Chairman Rana Qasim Noon Stresses Engaging Youth, Diaspora, and Media for Kashmir”

Islamabad_The 2nd meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, chaired by MNA Rana Qasim Noon, emphasized the need to engage youth, Pakistani diaspora, and increase media outreach to highlight the Kashmir cause at every regional and international forum. The committee unanimously approved the formation of an inter-ministerial committee to evolve future strategies for Kashmir.

Chairman Rana Qasim Noon stressed that occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a core issue of Pakistan’s foreign policy, and it is the collective responsibility of Pakistan to provide political, moral, and diplomatic support for freedom in Kashmir. He also emphasized the need to highlight atrocities against innocent children and women in occupied Kashmir on electronic and print media.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engr Amir Muqam condemned India’s gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, particularly after the repeal of Article 370 and 35-A. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to keep the Kashmir issue alive at every regional and international forum.

The committee also expressed approval for making arrangements for holding a joint session of Parliament along with members of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to convey a strong message of solidarity for suppressed Kashmiris.
