Winning the toss, West Indies decided to bat first and made steady progress despite only 67 overs being bowled due to weather delays.
Keacy Carty Hodge led the innings with an unbeaten 83 runs, displaying patience and control against the Pakistani bowling attack. Shai Hope remained at the crease on 39 runs at the close of play.

Earlier, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Amir Jangoo contributed 21 runs each, while Brandon King added 12 runs before being dismissed.
