Salman Safdar Meets Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail After Months
RAWALPINDI: (Staff Reporter) – Barrister Salman Safdar met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, at Adiala Jail on Monday after a gap of seven and 11 months, respectively.
The 40-minute meeting was facilitated by jail authorities following repeated applications and requests by the lawyer to the prison administration.
In a post on social media platform X, Safdar said the meeting took place at 4:30pm, marking his first interaction with Imran Khan in seven months and Bushra Bibi in 11 months.
He said the duration of the meeting was insufficient to discuss all pending cases and legal matters involving the former prime minister and his wife.
According to Safdar, both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi briefed him about their health and living conditions inside the prison.
The lawyer added that they also conveyed fresh instructions regarding certain legal matters and ongoing cases.
Safdar said the meeting had finally been arranged after several months of repeated requests and applications submitted to the jail authorities.
However, he did not disclose further details about their health conditions, prison facilities or the specific legal instructions received during the meeting.
