A major share of the allocation, around 750 billion dollars, is designated for acquiring naval vessels, advanced fighter jets, and the missile defence programme known as the Golden Dome, aimed at strengthening protection against evolving threats.
The proposal also earmarks 74 billion dollars for drone and counter-drone technologies, highlighting the increasing role of unmanned systems in modern combat scenarios. Additionally, over 75 billion dollars is planned for space defence initiatives, signaling a continued push to bolster capabilities in the space domain.
Notably, 18 billion dollars has been specifically allocated to the Golden Dome project, underlining its strategic importance within the broader defence framework.
Officials say the budget is designed to modernise the armed forces and ensure readiness in the face of rapidly changing global security challenges.
