Ronaldo Fans Unfollow Portugal Team Instagram Account

Islamabad: (Sports Desk) – The official Instagram account of the Portugal national football team reportedly lost around two million followers overnight after football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly left the team’s training camp following a dispute with head coach Jorge Jesus.

According to an international news agency, Ronaldo left the Portuguese squad at around 2:00 a.m. Later that morning, at approximately 10:00 a.m., team officials reportedly assigned his iconic number 7 shirt to another player.

The decision to reassign Ronaldo’s famous number just hours after his reported departure triggered anger among his fans worldwide.

As a result, millions of supporters reportedly unfollowed the official Portugal team Instagram account in protest. The account, which had around 25 million followers, reportedly dropped to approximately 23 million, with the number continuing to decline.

The player who was given Ronaldo’s number 7 shirt reportedly said he had initially been reluctant to accept it. He told the coaching staff that Ronaldo’s contribution and status should be respected and questioned how he could take the number so soon after the star’s departure.

However, according to the report, the player eventually accepted the number 7 shirt after pressure from the coaching staff.
