Gwadar Camp Attack Foiled as Security Forces Kill Three Terrorists
Forces surround seven more militants in two locations as the Gwadar GOC personally leads the ongoing operation
Gwadar – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – A Gwadar camp attack was foiled on Thursday after security forces moved quickly against a group of armed militants, security sources said. The terrorists wanted to hit a construction company’s camp, but nobody was inside at the time.
Three terrorists were killed during the operation. Security forces have also surrounded three more militants at the same location, and the clearance work is still going on.
According to the sources, the attackers belong to Fitna al Hindustan, a name Pakistani officials use for a militant network. The sources said forces responded without delay, and that this stopped the group from reaching its target.
The camp was empty when the attackers came. Because of this, no harm to workers was reported in the details shared so far.
A second operation is also under way in Gwadar. Security forces are dealing with terrorists inside a hotel near the Gwadar highway, after another attempted attack in the area.
Four terrorists at the hotel have been surrounded. Forces have sealed the area so the militants cannot escape. In total, seven terrorists are now trapped at the two locations.
Security sources said the Gwadar General Officer Commanding (GOC) is personally leading the operation. His presence on the ground shows how seriously the forces are taking the situation.
Gwadar is a port city in Balochistan on the Arabian Sea. It is known for its deep-sea port and for large development and construction work, so attacks here draw wide attention.
Details are still coming in, and the final number of casualties has not been shared. This report is based on what security sources have said, and it may change as the operations end.
The attack comes at a tense time for the country. Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in cross-border terrorist incidents, mainly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021.
Pakistan recorded its highest monthly number of militant attacks in 12 years during September 2026. This shows how heavy the pressure on the security forces has become.
Islamabad has asked Kabul many times to stop militant groups from using Afghan land to carry out attacks inside Pakistan. Pakistan says the Afghan Taliban government has not taken strong action against groups that target its soldiers and civilians.
The two sides have held several rounds of talks, but the issue is still not settled. Militant groups working from Afghan soil remain the biggest point of disagreement between Islamabad and Kabul.
For now, all eyes are on Gwadar. Residents are being asked to stay away from the hotel and highway area while forces finish the job.
We will update this story when more information comes from official sources.
