KARACHI: (Web Desk) – In Karachi, Mohammad Rizwan acknowledged that his underwhelming performance as captain contributed significantly to Rawalpindi’s defeat, suggesting the outcome might have changed had he performed better on the day.

Addressing the media after the match, Rizwan openly accepted responsibility for the loss, admitting that there may have been shortcomings in his leadership and execution during the game.

He remarked that a stronger showing from him as captain could have steered the team toward victory, while also noting that luck did not go in his favour during the match.

Rizwan also shared insights into team strategy, revealing that Yasir Khan was included in the lineup with a specific plan. He explained that he chose to open the innings himself to protect Yasir from the early swing of the new ball, aiming to provide him with more favourable conditions to play freely.
