Under directives issued on Friday in accordance with Section 4(2)(o) of the PHC Act 2010, staff working at all Category-I and Category-IIA healthcare establishments will be required to wear designated uniforms.
According to the new requirements, doctors will wear blue uniforms, paramedical staff green uniforms, while laboratory personnel will be required to wear white coats. Sanitation workers have also been directed to wear standardised uniforms.
The commission has instructed doctors and healthcare workers to wear short-sleeved uniforms to help reduce the risk of infections.
