Peshawar rain roof collapse kills child, injures two others.

Heavy rains collapse roofs in Peshawar and Khyber District. A young girl died. Two others got hurt.

Peshawar Matni – (Web Desk) – Heavy rain caused a room roof to collapse in Peshawar’s Matni area, killing a young girl and seriously injuring two others. Rescue officials said the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, while teams continued relief work at the site.

The downpour has been causing trouble across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Just two days earlier, a similar roof collapse happened in the Choora Sara Garhi area of Khyber District, at the home of a local resident named Qazi Rehman. Two women died in that incident, and two children were hurt.

Officials said that as soon as the Rescue 1122 Khyber control room got the alert, disaster response and medical teams rushed to the spot and carried out rescue efforts alongside local residents.

Authorities have warned that continued rainfall could worsen the situation and have urged citizens to remain cautious as the province faces growing challenges, including damage to infrastructure and agricultural losses.

Meanwhile, low-level flooding has been observed in the Kabul River at Warsak and Adenzai, as well as in the Kalpani stream in Mardan, indicating rising water levels.
